GENERAL SAFETY NOTICES

We, at Clonmel Show, want all to have a successful and enjoyable day, but most importantly, a safe and accident-free one.

To ensure this, the co-operation of exhibitors, spectators and organisers is vital.

Please note a few guidelines in relation to safety:

Obey the directions of stewards especially about the designated routes between the public and showing rings and the traffic on the designated driveways.

Observe signs, especially those relating to caution in livestock areas etc.

All competitors are made aware of their responsibilities when exhibiting animals at the show when submitting their entries and are expected to handle their animals in a manner which protects themselves and those around them. Entry to classes represents acceptance of these conditions. Do not exhibit animals that are hard to control or ones which act in a dangerous manner.

All animals must be led by a competent adult.

Animals must not be tied to trailers.

Dogs must be always on a lead and under the control of the handler.

Admission to the grounds will comprise acceptance of these unavoidable hazards, and agreement to behave in a manner which does not endanger oneself or others, and to always abide by safety signage and the instructions of stewards.

Caution and care should be always exercised.

FIRST AID

The Civil Defence is on duty on the grounds with a defibrillator onboard. The Ambulance is located at the Stable Yard side of grounds. Contact the Secretary in Show Office or any of our Stewards, who are identifiable by either their Yellow Hi-Viz jackets and/or Stewards' badges to alert to need for First Aid with their Communications systems.

LOST OR MISSING CHILDREN

Missing Children: Contact the Secretary in Show Office or any of our Stewards, who are identifiable by either their Yellow Hi-Viz jackets and/or Stewards' badges to alert to need for vigilance with their Communications systems as time is of the essence in these circumstances. Lost Children: Gardai or Members of the Public generally bring children, who have become temporarily separated from their Parents or Guardians, to the Show Office. Our Child Protection Officer will be called who with the Secretary will put out relevant information over the Public Address system to re-unite children to their parents or Guardians. Our Child Protection Officer is Nicholas Ryan 087-9589311

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

We are an open-air event over an extended campus. Patrons will be alerted as to an emergency over the Public Address system. There are designated Assembly points to which people will be sent in the case of an emergency procedure.
