About how we run the show

Clonmel Show is run by a committee of management of more than forty volunteers, under the chairmanship of  Shay Kennedy & Rebecca Dromey and Vise Chair of Frankie Quinlan and Noel Delany

Almost 250 volunteers act as stewards on show day and help in the preparations for and dismantling of the show.

Our new President Eddie O'Gorman and Vice President Frank Quinlan. Our new Secretary Margaret Widger.

Ms Sheila Quinn has been our super efficient show secretary over the years, who contributed a huge workload over the past few years, quietly and without any fuss. Her contribution to the organisation of the annual show has been enormous of which we are very grateful. Margaret Widger has been working as an apprentice role with Clonmel Show and is now ready to fill the boots of new Secretary wink

Each of the other sections have their own respective organisers, all of whom work extremely hard to co-ordinate all the parts into one great show.

Paddy O Donnell, John C. Byrne and Michael Mulcahy are the show’s safety officers, a very responsible position, as the public mingle with animals throughout the show-grounds. Paddy, John and Michael appeal to everybody attending the show to take care and be alert in order to avoid any mishaps!

Nicholas Ryan is our child protection officer and our animal welfare officier on the day.
